The Scheppach HM90SL Sliding Compound Miter Saw with trombone extension is ideal when space is limited in the workshop, yet a high-quality and versatile compound mitre saw is needed. With its innovative fixed rail guidance, known as the trombone extension, the HM90SL requires no space behind the machine, allowing it to be placed directly against walls.
Precision and Ease of Use
With the HM90SL Compound Miter and Sliding Saw, effortlessly cut workpieces up to 300 mm wide and 65 mm high. The saw features two extendable aluminium workpiece supports, a clamping device for securing the workpiece, and a right-side 53 mm and left-side 36 mm high workpiece stop with a scale, ensuring precise positioning.
Optimal Fixation and Versatility
Experience optimal workpiece fixation with the left-side clamping device. The turntable provides a free swivel range from -45 to +45°, accommodating various bevel and mitre angles. Easily fix common angles using multiple locking points, and tilt the saw blade up to 45° on both sides.
Trombone Extension for Space Efficiency
A standout feature of the HM90SL is its trombone extension, eliminating the need for space behind the machine to move the saw head. Unlike conventional sliding compound mitre saws, the guide rails remain fixed, enabling a greater cutting width. Ideal for small workshops or spaces with limited depth, as it can be placed directly against the wall.
Precision in Dark Conditions
The integrated laser ensures exact cutting alignment, and the built-in LED light optimally illuminates the cutting area. Particularly beneficial on construction sites where lighting conditions may be inadequate, the LED lamp proves to be a valuable asset.
Safety and Portability
The HM90SL prioritises user safety with its wide handle and fully enclosed aluminium die-cast blade guard. Weighing only 13 kg due to its high-quality aluminium housing, this sliding compound mitre saw is exceptionally lightweight, allowing for comfortable transportation.

HM90SL
Good saw for the price. Quite solid and the 90 degree cut was within half a degree accurate. There are a couple of niggles. The manual doesn't explain how to adjust the laser. There are three screws and it's less than intuitive how it's done. I managed to get it reasonably well adjusted but that was by complete trial and error and took a long time. The workpiece clamp attaches on either the left or the right but when mounted right is fouled by the motor which is a bit strange. The turntable clicks into place at 90 degrees (and other major angles) but I couldn't find a fine adjustment and I'm not sure it's super accurate. Also the lack of soft start was a bit of a shocker on the first use, although it was something I got used to (clench teeth when pulling trigger).
